Workshop location¶

The ideal location has one large room (50-80 seats) and many break-out rooms or spaces, fast, reliable Internet connectivity, and plenty of power sources.

Consider that participants and volunteers will arrive by a variety of transport modes. If the space offers free parking, mention that in your publicity for the workshop. Cyclists will appreciate hearing of secure bicycle parking. If your location is near any transit stops, specify them in your publicity--some people may be choosing whether to attend based on the location's convenience.

Note barriers to wheelchair accessibility, such as staircases, high curbs, and narrow doorways. Potential attendees need to know of these before signing up for the workshop.
